Depending on the application, a round cord or profile ring must be elastic, temperature and chemical-resistant, dimensionally stable and resilient, so that a reliable sealing is ensured in the respective application.

Round cord and profile rings are used where no suitable O-ring is available or a small number of pieces are required in which case the costly production of a mould would not be justified.

Good to know

FKM and silicone rings
Consistent physical and chemical resistance of the joint is guaranteed by the use of identical materials. Vulcanisation and bonding are also possible to ensure a permanent and reliable connection.

TPE - rings
Our TPE rings retain their physical properties permanently, as no foreign materials such as adhesives are used. Production takes place in the mirror welding process, which guarantees a particularly stable connection with high tensile strength and consistent material quality.

FKM sponge rubber rings
We bond FKM sponge rubber rings by cold vulcanisation with LEZ-VITFIX, an FKM rubber-based adhesive that has a shock-absorbing effect and thus guarantees a robust bond. LEZ-VITFIX serves as an adhesive base and ensures excellent adhesion to the carrier material.

Silicone foam rings
Our silicone foam rings are bonded with a special silicone adhesive to ensure a stable, tight and durable connection.
